Defining the Core Identity
We began by diving deep into what makes this coffee roaster special: their passion for artisanal roasting, their focus on quality, and their desire to connect with a modern audience that appreciates creativity and craftsmanship. The brand needed to feel energetic, fun, and premium, while also evoking a vintage charm that would make it stand out in a competitive coffee market.
Visual Language Development
In developing the visual language, we carefully balanced modern design elements with a hint of retro flair to bring a sense of nostalgia while maintaining a fresh, energetic feel.
Logo Design: The logo was created with bold, custom letterforms to convey both timeless quality and modern energy. A playful ampersand was subtly integrated to add personality and make the logo distinctive.
Colour Palette: The brand’s colour palette is rooted in a vibrant yellow, pop of pink, light blue and a touch of orange. These colours evoke a sense of fun and nostalgia, drawing on vintage coffee, while still feeling fresh and current.
Typography: The use of a mix of bold modern serif combined with clean, sans-serifs creates a bold yet approachable feel. The fonts are meant to evoke a sense of familiarity and comfort, while still feeling youthful and trendy.
Retro-Inspired Illustrations: To add a playful and nostalgic touch, we incorporated retro-inspired sticker illustrations throughout the brand. These illustrations bring an fun, handcrafted vibe, adding character to the visual identity.
